Jujutsu Kaisen – Chapter 2: Secret Execution
Yuji Itadori sat in silence, the bitter taste of regret in his mouth. The events from the previous night—swallowing the cursed object, facing the grotesque curse spirit, and becoming the host of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses—played over and over in his head like a broken record.
Across from him stood Satoru Gojo, a man with an easygoing smile and blindfolded eyes, yet an aura that suggested overwhelming power. Despite the smile, his words were cold.
“You’re going to be executed.”
Itadori’s heart skipped a beat. “What?”
“You’re too dangerous to keep alive. You swallowed a Special Grade Curse—Ryomen Sukuna’s finger. That curse was supposed to stay sealed forever,” Gojo explained. “And now, it’s inside you. Technically, you are Sukuna now.”
Itadori’s fists clenched, but he didn’t protest. The truth was obvious. He could feel Sukuna’s vile presence lingering inside him.
“But there’s a proposal,” Gojo continued. “You can die now… or help us collect all twenty of Sukuna’s fingers. Once we have them all, you swallow them—every last one—and then we exorcise you in one go. Kill Sukuna once and for all.”
Itadori looked down, conflicted. The idea of dying didn’t scare him as much as the idea of dying without meaning. He remembered his grandfather’s last words: “Help others. Die surrounded by people.” Could this mission be that purpose?
