Jujutsu Kaisen – Chapter 3: For Myself
In Chapter 3, Yuji Itadori goes with Satoru Gojo to Tokyo Jujutsu High. This is a school for people who fight curses. Gojo explains that Yuji will train to fight curses and help find the rest of Sukuna’s fingers. When all fingers are found and eaten, Yuji will be killed so Sukuna can be destroyed.
Yuji meets the school’s principal, Masamichi Yaga. Yaga wants to know why Yuji wants to join the school. He gives Yuji a test. The test is a fight with a doll that moves on its own. The doll attacks Yuji. Yuji does not want to fight at first. Then he remembers his grandfather’s last words. He chooses to fight.
Yuji says he does not want a long life. He wants a good death. He wants to help people and protect them. Yaga listens and lets Yuji join the school.
This chapter shows Yuji choosing his path. He does not run away. He wants to do what is right.
